Mandriana

Ciao!

Catie here, the founder of Mandriana. I’m a Texas gal- born and raised in the New Braunfels hill country. Music has always been my full-time job. I moved to Nashville about 10 years ago and now it’s home to me and my husband (and our 3 perfect pups)!  I’ll be honest, jewelry was never on my radar, neither was a 2nd job or starting a small business/brand.

May 2024 - I was playing a gig in London. My husband and dad were able to come along, so we decided to pop over to Italy for a couple days after. It’s our favorite place on earth!! We stumbled on this little beach town one of our days of being there, and of course I left the boys to do a little shopping. I ended up in a store that had the coolest accessories all made with bandanas. It was insane in the best way possible! I bought a few things not thinking much about it. I Met up with the guys and showed them my purchases and they both were blown away like me! So cool, so unique and so me.

My dad said I should take a stab at making something with all my random bandanas at the house. I told him “yeah okay whatever” …..well look where we are today! A Sunday afternoon craft project with my neighbors turned into me making 150 necklaces in the back of the van playing shows last summer. I think Kolby, my husband, was starting to wonder what the plan was with the necklaces lying all around our house!!! Haha

Then the question was - what do I call this?! So I spent days and weeks racking my brain and one day I googled cowgirl in Italian. And there birthed Mandriana. But I’ll be honest, it’s just a name, it’s just accessories. YA’LL are what makes Mandriana what it is. I am truly lucky to have the most amazing customers. The past year of this little brand has been one of the greatest unexpected joys of my life and I truly thank ya’ll for that.

I know yall got to know me through my necklaces, so it’s been exciting to see y’all’s reaction to adding the hand-painted Birkenstocks. I love all things creative. And this was once again inspired by Italian fashion. This brand is all about pieces that feel effortless, creative, and full of personality - and hopefully put a smile on your face and in your heart.

And while we continue to grow, bandanas will always be a part of what we do. My parents hand dye and pour a lot of love and time in each bandana. They’re all USA made as well!

Each pair of hand painted shoes includes one shoe-bag made by my mother in law with our bandana scraps from the necklaces. It’s truly special - especially to have my sweet family involved. The bandanas will always continue to tell a story through each piece you purchase. Thank you for supporting my brand and joining me on this journey. I’m just lucky to be here with y’all!

Xo,
Catie
